I personally think it’s a horrible idea to bring your reptiles with you in the car. I don’t mean when you have to take them to the vet or move them and you have them in a secured carrier, I mean when you just let them roam in the car while you’re driving and you take ‘cute’ photos of them around…

Agreed. Dunno how people do it. Marceline got out of her bag once and then out of the container it was in (apparently one side wasn’t secured) when driving to work one day and I almost NEVER got her out of my passenger seat. She wedged between the console and seat and got stuck and it took mineral oil and some stubborness on my part to free her in the parking lot. I could never relax letting a snake free-roam my car.

I’ve decided to switch the dogs off their new food to something meat based. Does anyone do raw meat with their dogs? I think I went to do to that or maybe something venison based because they’re hounds.

krakenqueen you’ve got some good raw/homemade info right? I…

Thanks so much! we got a little bag of a fish based blue buffalo food and they seem to like it but I might try one of the blue wilderness flavors instead. I’m not sure where these companies source their fish but overfishing is an issue I’m concerned about as well as contaminants that the fish process and retain. (Which only occurred to me after we had gotten the food)

I’ve fed Josh the fish based kibble with no ill effects. I like wilderness though. The venison is a good one definitely. Right now I have a blend of blue chicken and rice mixed with simply nourish source duck. I top his meals with various high quality wet foods too.

There’s Also Evo 95% meat, they do have it in venison! We’ve used it when we run out of our food and even though it’s not home made, Casie still likes it. It’s worth looking into.

Oooh yeah I like Evo. I wish we carried it at work, the only place I’ve seen it is a specialty pet food shop on the outskirts of town.
